2.2 Litre Petrol Engine

The Steed 5 Double Cab is offered with a range of two engines, catering for a wide variety of needs. The entry level model is powered by GWM’s proven 2,2-litre petrol engine that develops 73 kW and 180 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The combined-cycle fuel consumption figure for this model is an economical 10,2 L/100 km.

2.0 Litre VGT

And last, but not least, is GWM’s very popular and in-house developed 2,0-litre VGT (variable geometry turbo) diesel power plant that punches out a strong 110 kW and 320 Nm of torque. This engine is exclusively mated with a six-speed manual transmission and the 2,0-litre VGT engine boasts exceptionally low fuel consumption of only 8,3 L/100 km. Comfort and Entertainment

Business Or Pleasure – It all begins with the spaciousness of the cabin, which offers excellent head, shoulder, and leg room as well as a number of storage spaces for odds and ends. There’s no shoulder rubbing in a Steed 5 – all models feature comfortable seats, and a neat, padded centre armrest that doubles as a large storage box between the seats. Most models feature power steering, air-conditioning, and an audio system (radio with USB). In addition to the above, the 2.0-Litre diesel models also include power windows and electric mirror adjustment – standard.
